Description of manufacturing method of decorative glass with high-quality photographic full-color image based on «VOLINE» technology
Stage 1. Product outline development
First of all, you need to develop an outline in any vector editor. You can use familiar Corel Draw for that purpose or special Glass Eye 2000 stained glass editor, which immediately reads the image area and calculates the material consumption
Stage 2. Outline scanning and tracing.
After the loading selected and edited image into the editor, use the tool to make an outline. You can change the scale, cut and color the drawing, to see how it will look like in the finished version. Finished picture will be stored in the HPGL machine format.
Stage 3. Applying polymer contour by the СNС machine.
Applying polymer contour by the CNC machine. Varying its width and height if necessary. You can do it during the adjustment as well as during operation. Application of sufficiently fine drawing details is also acceptable. Contour should be allowed to dry before the next step. Image becomes maximum fast during few days, but 24 hours should be enough to continue the work.
Stage 4. Surface with applied polymer contour.
For this stage plane, horizontal surface will be needed. Polymers are very liquid and it is important to prevent its aside offset. Table can be done by yourself if needed. Better perception of the finished product and color will be achieved if the surface will be illuminated
Stage 5. Filling the intercontour space with colorful polymers
At this stage we are going to fill dried up intercontour space with color polymers. Two-component transparent base is used for that purpose. To get the needed color we add small amount of pigment in accordance with special formulas. It allows to change color and saturation. A smooth transition from one color to another can be achieved using this ability. The surface tension of the fill looks like a lens when it is dried, which leads to the effect of realistic stained glass.
Stage 6. The finished product.
